I offer counselling services in person, online and by telephone as needed and can offer a combination of these if required. Counselling sessions can be held at my setting in Saltaire, in external settings such as education provisions or a combination of these. I will always strive to work in partnership to meet my clients needs and best interests.
Do you want to make a change, have more understanding of past events or make sense of a present situation? Whatever your reason for seeking counselling I am here to help.
Whether you are neurodivergent or supporting someone who is I am here to help both in the counselling room and outside of it.
I have personally grown up with younger siblings who have autism, worked with neurodiverse children and their families and adults with autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
I have seen first hand the challenges that some children face trying to access mainstream education and navigate the transition from primary school to secondary school.
I understand the devasting impact that those challenges can have on both the children and their families.
Life as an adult with neurodiversity presents yet more challenges and differences in social and emotional development and expectations.
People with neurodiversity are also more likely to experience mental health issues due to the challenges they face, societal expectations and the stress of 'masking'.
Masking is when a neurodivergent person acts neurotypical for any number of reasons such as fitting in or to avoid judgement.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling you can start the journey of recovering motivation, perspective, and joy in your life.
Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home which can be beneficial to those who prefer this way of working. Online sessions are just as effective as face to face sessions and can be a way of making counselling accessible to all. If you have issues with travel, expenses or other responsibilities that make taking the time out of your day for counselling sessions impossible, then online counselling is a good option for you.
