Actual You Retreats provide a sanctuary for anyone looking to recharge and reconnect with themselves. Taking time for self-care is a powerful act of recognising our own worth, and by prioritising ourselves, we enhance our ability to show up more fully in every aspect of life.
Each of our workshops is led by experienced experts and carefully designed to deliver a meaningful, lasting impact.
Victoria Hall is set in a stunning location in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire, with local attractions on the doorstep. There are many options for lunch, suitable for every budget, and all within walking distance. This will allow you to explore this historical site, from Salts Mill where you can check out the David Hockney exhibition to Roberts Park where you will find Sir Titus Salt's statue.
We believe in flexibility, so all of our workshops are optional, allowing you to tailor your retreat experience to what resonates most with you.

Our workshops include strategies and techniques that help individuals cope with, and reduce the negative effects of stress. The goal is to keep stress at manageable levels where possible, helping people maintain emotional well-being, focus, and overall health. This can involve both short-term solutions for immediate relief, as well as long-term strategies that have a more lasting impact.
We have all heard of burnout, but what is it? Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress or overwork, especially in situations where someone feels overwhelmed, underappreciated, or disconnected from the work they’re doing. It's more than just being tired—burnout can lead to physical and mental crisis. Our retreats are deeply impactful for burnout because they offer a chance to disconnect from the constant demands and stress of daily life, allowing individuals to recharge physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our movement workshops include trauma informed practices such as yoga, energy movement techniques and somatic energy release workshops. There are opportunities for walking or running in the local area where you can take in the beautiful scenery of Saltaire.
When you're always coming from a place of feeling depleted, it can be hard to truly connect with or support others because you may not feel like you have the emotional energy or capacity to do so. Self-compassion involves treating yourself with the same kindness, patience, and understanding that you show others.
On completion of our retreat, you will leave with a well-being action plan to take home with you. This is a personalised action plan that includes how you will maintain your well-being and cope with stress, what your personal triggers are and actionable steps to take when you notice the first signs.
We will end our retreats with a sharing circle, where we will sit together and discuss what we will take away with us, what we are grateful for, and set our intentions for the future. We will share our experience of the retreat with each other, in this supported and nurturing safe space.
